Maggie Willis was born in Bolton and lived in Cairo, London, Manchester, Ulverston and York where she died at St Leonard's Hospice after a brave battle against pancreatic cancer. Maggie was a primary school teacher and, after raising our two children, she completed a degree course in counselling and psychotherapy, volunteering at MIND in Kendal in Cumbria.
She was a lovely, positive, caring woman much adored by John, her husband of 28 years, and her daughter Hannah and her son James and her step-sons Sam and Daniel. We all miss her deeply. We are very grateful for the care and attention she received during her final days at St Leonard's.
While I am very pleased to support this excellent cause I am sad that it has to be in memory of someone who should be alive today.
Well done guys! With love to you all, Jackie xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Well done John, Hannah and James, a great cause and a fitting tribute. Love Geoff and Alison
